William D. Pratt School
This new school is a two-storey building with two classroom wings that cradle the Main and Auxiliary Gymnasiums. On the main floor the intersection of the two corridors widen to create a large open student gathering space adjacent to the Administration Offices. Off the same student gathering space is the 1.5 storey tall Learning Commons/Library naturally-lit by a large set of windows. The main floor comprises of the CTS programs: the Wood Shop, Culinary Arts as well as the Music room, Drama Room and Science Rooms. Portable classrooms are attached on one end of the wings with an opportunity for future expansion. The school façade design is inspired by the mosaic quality of the Prairie landscape and the school unique colours, interior and exterior, by the vibrant Community it serves and adorns.
