SAIT Trades & Technology Complex Master Plan

The Master Plan acknowledged SAIT's rich history, while at the same time continuously looking forward. It set cohesive guidelines on linking existing structures, primarily Heritage Hall, to new projects. Although buildings closer to the hall are more reminiscent of its architecture, and those further away are afforded more design latitude, they all maintain a familial relationship based on its historical design language.

To augment a physical and stylistic connection between design elements used in the new campus structures, used materials and architectural cadence, expansive sidewalks lined with bench seating, street style lamps and trees were added. The vision was to make the campus as unified as possible, drawing inspiration from its historic architectural language, and applying it through modern and innovative design processes.
