A twin tower design for an entire block on 10th ave for a total area of approximately 750,000 sq.ft. this project will figuratively and literally connect the beltline to the downtown. The design of the ground floor sets the bar for creative and functional designs along the City's challenging underpasses beneath the CPR lines. The building responds to this condition by stepping down with retail uses along the walkway. Dominate wood canopies transition the scale of the building from the underpass to the 2 story lobbies along 10th. The building not only is connected between an amenity filled 2nd floor but ties into the Calgary Parking Authority parkade and the extension of the plus 15 network of downtown Calgary. The design of the towers reflect the relationship of the site to the context of the CPR rail lines and the long East/West blocks with 3 shifting masses that creates an elegant form as a transition from downtown to 10th ave. The project represents a vital intensification on 10th ave that is sensitive to its context creating an exciting urban environment.
