Airdrie Fire Department Headquarters, Chinook Winds Station

Expanding the idea of protective services to embrace the protection of the environment, the Airdrie Emergency Services Main Facility and Training Centre combines concepts of sustainable architecture with specific programmatic needs of the City of Airdrie Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services. The main hall houses the administrative arm of the emergency services, residential living quarters, a full training and learning centre, and Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) as well as community related spaces. Gibbs Gage Architects has provided a much needed facility to the city of Airdrie, which serves as a landmark bastion of safety to the community.
